Lordosis

Lordosis is the natural inward curve of the spine in the lower back. It helps absorb shock and supports good posture. However, when this curve becomes exaggerated, it can lead to a condition called hyperlordosis, causing lower back pain, muscular imbalance, and discomfort. Factors like poor posture, obesity, pregnancy, or certain medical conditions can contribute to excessive lumbar lordosis. Proper diagnosis involves physical examination and imaging. Treatment may include physical therapy, stretching, strengthening exercises, and in some cases, medical intervention to help realign the spine and reduce symptoms.
