Lord's Resistance Army

The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) is a rebel group that originated in Uganda in the late 1980s. It is known for its brutal tactics, including kidnapping children to serve as soldiers and sex slaves, and committing widespread atrocities. The group claims to fight for a theocratic state based on a blend of Christian and traditional beliefs, but it is widely condemned for its violent methods and human rights abuses. Although its influence has diminished, the LRA remains a threat in parts of Central Africa, with efforts ongoing to stop its activities and rescue its victims.
