Long Binh

Long Binh was a major logistical and military hub during the Vietnam War, located near Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). It served as the U.S. Army’s largest base in Vietnam, functioning as a central point for troop deployment, equipment storage, and coordination of military operations. The base included extensive facilities like roads, hospitals, and supply depots, playing a critical role in supporting military efforts in the region. Today, Long Binh has been largely transformed, with parts of it repurposed or developed for civilian use, but its historical significance remains tied to its strategic importance during the war.
