London Wall

London Wall was a defensive stone barrier built by the Romans around the ancient city of Londinium, roughly 2,000 years ago. Designed to protect the city from invasions and attacks, it consisted of walls, gates, and towers made from stone and turf. Over centuries, the wall's perimeter defined the early boundaries of London, influencing its development. Today, remnants of London Wall can still be seen in parts of the City of London, serving as a historical reminder of the city’s Roman origins and its strategic importance in ancient Britain.
