Lombroso's theory
Lombroso's theory suggests that criminal behavior is linked to physical features and biological traits some individuals are born with. He believed that certain facial features, skull shapes, or body types might indicate a person's likelihood to commit crimes, viewing these traits as evidence of an inherited 'criminal type.' While influential historically, this theory has been widely criticized for lack of scientific basis and for promoting stereotypes, and modern understanding emphasizes social, psychological, and environmental factors in criminal behavior rather than physical appearance alone.
