LogMAR
LogMAR (Logarithm of the Minimum Angle of Resolution) is a standardized way to measure visual acuity, or how clearly you see. It expresses the smallest detail your eye can distinguish in terms of angular size, using a logarithmic scale. Lower LogMAR values indicate better vision (like 0.0, equivalent to 20/20), while higher values mean reduced clarity. Unlike traditional Snellen charts, LogMAR provides more precise, consistent results across different testing environments and is commonly used in eye research and clinics to assess and monitor visual improvements or impairments accurately.
