Logical problem of induction
The logical problem of induction questions whether we can justify our belief that the future will resemble the past based solely on past experience. For example, just because the sun has risen every day doesn’t guarantee it will do so tomorrow. This challenges the assumption that patterns observed previously necessarily continue, highlighting that induction cannot be logically proven to be certain. It raises awareness that our reliance on past observations to predict future events is based on habit or trust, not absolute logical certainty.
