Loggia

A loggia is a covered outdoor area, usually on an upper level of a building, that is open on one or more sides. Think of it as a sheltered balcony or veranda, often supported by columns or arches. Loggias provide a space for relaxing or socializing while being protected from the elements, and they are common in classical and Renaissance architecture. Unlike enclosed rooms, they blend indoor comfort with outdoor openness, offering views and ventilation while maintaining privacy and shade.
