Logarithms

A logarithm is the inverse of exponentiation. It answers the question: to what power must a specific base be raised to get a certain number? For example, the logarithm base 10 of 100 is 2, because 10 raised to the power of 2 equals 100. In essence, logarithms help us find the exponent needed to reach a particular value from a given base, making them useful for dealing with very large or very small numbers, understanding growth patterns, and simplifying complex calculations.
