Loft (airship)
A loft (airship) is a type of large, lighter-than-air aircraft that uses a gas—such as helium or hydrogen—to provide buoyancy, allowing it to stay suspended in the air. It features a rigid or semi-rigid framework, often with an enclosed cabin or gondola beneath the main structure where passengers or equipment are housed. Loft airships are used for transportation, advertising, or surveillance, offering a slow, stable flight with excellent visibility. They operate by controlling buoyancy and adjusting the gas volume, making them suitable for long endurance and scenic or observation purposes.
