Locally Linear Embedding (LLE) is a technique for reducing complex, high-dimensional data into a lower-dimensional form while preserving the data’s local structure. It finds a simple linear relationship among neighboring points in the original space and then maps these relationships into a lower-dimensional space. Think of it as capturing small, local patterns and then assembling them to form a coherent simpler picture. This allows us to visualize or analyze complex data—like images or signals—more easily without losing meaningful relationships between points.
