Localization cues
Localization cues are signals our brain uses to determine where sounds are coming from in our environment. These cues include differences in the timing, volume, and quality of sounds reaching each ear. For example, if a sound is louder in your right ear, your brain interprets it as coming from the right side. Similarly, slight differences in the time it takes for sound waves to reach each ear help pinpoint the direction. Our brain combines these cues to create a sense of spatial awareness, helping us locate and respond to sounds accurately in our surroundings.
