Locales

Locales are settings in a computer system that tailor how information is displayed and processed based on regional preferences. They determine language, date and time formats, number and currency styles, and other cultural conventions. For example, choosing a U.S. locale might display dates as MM/DD/YYYY and use dollars, while a European locale might show DD/MM/YYYY and euros. Locales ensure that software and data appear familiar and correctly formatted for users from different regions, providing a more intuitive and culturally appropriate experience.
