Local Government of Guam

The Local Government of Guam is the governing body that manages the affairs of Guam, a U.S. territory in the Western Pacific. It consists of three branches: the executive, led by the Governor; the legislative, with the Guam Legislature; and the judicial, which oversees courts. Local government is responsible for providing essential services, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring public safety. It also handles local issues like education, health, and economic development. Guam’s unique status means it is subject to U.S. federal laws while also having its own local laws and regulations.
