Lobster (Homarus spp)
Lobsters, belonging to the genus Homarus, are large marine crustaceans known for their hard shells and substantial claws. Typically found in rocky, coastal waters, they are bottom-dwellers that scavenge and hunt for fish and mollusks. Lobsters have a muscular tail used for swift movements, and their claws are specialized—one for crushing and the other for cutting. They grow by molting their shells, which allows them to increase in size. Lobsters are highly valued commercially for their meat and are considered a delicacy in many cuisines worldwide.
