LNG Infrastructure
LNG infrastructure involves the systems and facilities required to produce, transport, and store liquefied natural gas (LNG). It includes liquefaction plants that cool natural gas to a liquid state for easier transportation, storage tanks, and loading/unloading terminals. Pipelines connect these facilities, and specialized ships called LNG carriers transport the liquefied gas globally. Once at its destination, the LNG is regasified back into gas for use in homes, industries, and power generation. This infrastructure enables efficient, large-scale international trade of natural gas while ensuring safety and minimizing environmental impact.
