Liverpool Necropolis

Liverpool Necropolis was a large Victorian cemetery established in the 19th century to accommodate the city’s growing population. Located in Everton, it was designed with landscaped gardens and elaborate tombs, reflecting the era’s interest in memorial art. The cemetery served as a resting place for many of Liverpool’s residents and was also a public space for visitors. Over time, parts of it fell into disrepair, and today, only remnants and some structures remain, offering insights into the city’s history and Victorian burial practices.
