Little Blue Penguins

Little Blue Penguins are the smallest species of penguins, native to Australia and New Zealand. They stand about 33 centimeters (13 inches) tall and weigh around 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds). Known for their distinctive slate-blue feathers and gentle nature, they are excellent swimmers, often diving underwater to catch small fish and other sea creatures. They are social animals, living in colonies called colonies or rookeries. Little Blue Penguins are primarily nocturnal, coming ashore at night to feed and breed. Their charming appearance and behaviors make them popular, but they face threats from habitat loss, predation, and human activity.
