Lipogenesis
Lipogenesis is the process by which the body converts excess carbohydrates into fatty acids, which are then stored as fat. When you consume more carbohydrates than your body needs for energy, the surplus is transformed in the liver into fats through lipogenesis. These fats can be stored in fat tissue and used later for energy when needed. The process helps the body manage energy storage efficiently, maintaining balance between energy intake and expenditure. Essentially, lipogenesis is the way the body builds fat reserves from carbohydrate-rich foods when there is an abundance of energy intake.
