Lion Nathan was an Australian beverage company known for producing and distributing beer, wines, and other beverages. Founded in 1984 through the merger of Lion Breweries and Nathan Brewing, it operated mainly in Australia and New Zealand. The company aimed to grow its market share by acquiring popular brands and expanding its product portfolio. In 2011, Lion Nathan was acquired by Kirin Holdings, a Japanese beverage company, and integrated into their operations. Today, the Lion brand continues to be a significant part of Kirin’s beverage business, recognized for its strong presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
