Links golf

Links golf is a style of golf played on coastal seaside courses, traditionally located in Scotland. These courses are characterized by natural terrain, sandy soil, dunes, and fewer trees, offering a challenging and unpredictable playing environment. The term "links" originates from the Old English word for a sandy or beachy area. Unlike parkland courses, links courses emphasize natural landscapes, firm and fast fairways, deep bunkers, and minimal water hazards, often requiring creative shot-making and strategic play. This style is considered the purest form of golf and is closely associated with the sport’s origins.
