Links golf is a style of golf played on coastal seaside courses, traditionally located in Scotland. These courses are characterized by natural terrain, sandy soil, dunes, and fewer trees, offering a challenging and unpredictable playing environment. The term "links" originates from the Old English word for a sandy or beachy area.
