Linear Stretching

Linear stretching is a process used to improve the contrast of an image by expanding its range of brightness levels. It adjusts pixel values so that dark areas become darker and bright areas become brighter, spreading out all the intensity values evenly across the available range. This makes details more visible, especially in images that are too dark or too bright. Essentially, it re-maps the original brightness levels to make the overall image clearer and more balanced without changing its fundamental appearance.
