Limit of a function

The limit of a function describes the value that the function approaches as its input gets closer and closer to a specific point. It helps us understand the behavior of the function near that point without needing the function to be exactly defined there. For example, if as you get closer to a number, the function’s output gets nearer to a certain value, that value is the limit. Limits are fundamental in calculus for understanding change, slopes, and areas, providing a way to analyze functions' local behavior around specific points.
