Limestone cycles refer to the natural processes involving limestone, a type of sedimentary rock primarily made of calcium carbonate. These processes include weathering, where rain and carbon dioxide slowly dissolve limestone; transportation, where dissolved calcium is carried away by water; and deposition, where calcium carbonate re-precipitates to form new limestone layers.
