Liliesleaf Farm

Liliesleaf Farm was an important site in South Africa’s history, serving as a secret headquarters for anti-apartheid activists in the 1960s. It was used by the African National Congress (ANC) and its leaders to plan resistance against racial segregation and oppression. In 1963, it was raided by police, leading to the arrest of key activists, including Nelson Mandela, which helped to mobilize national and international support for ending apartheid. Today, Liliesleaf is a museum and heritage site that educates visitors about the struggle for justice and equality in South Africa.
