Liliʻuokalani

Liliʻuokalani was the last reigning monarch of Hawaii, serving as queen from 1891 to 1893. She was a skilled composer, musician, and advocate for Hawaiian culture and independence. Her reign ended when a group of American and European businessmen, supported by the U.S. government, overthrew the monarchy and established a provisional government. Despite efforts to restore her throne, she was not successful. Liliʻuokalani remains a symbol of Hawaiian identity and resistance, celebrated for her leadership and dedication to her people's heritage.
