Lihyanites
The Lihyanites were an ancient Arab people who lived in what is now northwestern Saudi Arabia around the 6th to 4th centuries BCE. They established the Kingdom of Lihyan, known for trade, especially in incense, resins, and other goods moving between Arabia and surrounding regions. Their society was organized around city-states, with their capital at Dadan (often called Dedan). The Lihyanites adopted aspects of Nabataean culture and left behind inscriptions and monuments. They played a significant role as traders and intermediaries in the Arabian Peninsula before eventually being absorbed into neighboring kingdoms.
