Light Sensitivity

Light sensitivity, or photophobia, is when the eyes react strongly to bright light, causing discomfort or pain. People with this condition may find sunlight, fluorescent lighting, or even computer screens difficult to tolerate. It can be caused by various factors, including eye conditions, migraines, certain medications, or neurological issues. Essentially, the eyes are more reactive to light than usual, which can lead to squinting, headaches, or eye strain. Managing light sensitivity often involves wearing sunglasses, using eye covers, or adjusting lighting conditions to reduce discomfort.
