Light Science

Light science, or optics, studies how light behaves, travels, and interacts with matter. It explains phenomena like reflection, refraction, and diffraction, helping us understand how lenses work in glasses and cameras, or how fiber optics transmit data. Light is part electromagnetic radiation, including visible light we see, and invisible forms like infrared and ultraviolet. By examining light’s properties, scientists develop technologies for imaging, communication, and energy, enhancing daily life and advancing scientific knowledge.
