Light and Optics

Light is an electromagnetic wave, meaning it is a form of energy created by oscillating electric and magnetic fields. In classical electromagnetism, light behaves both like a wave, displaying properties such as reflection and refraction, and, under certain conditions, like a particle (photons). Optics is the study of how light interacts with matter, covering phenomena like how lenses focus light to form images. The principles of light and optics explain many everyday experiences, from the way we see objects to how glasses and cameras work, rooted in the fundamental laws of electromagnetism.
