Ligament grafts

Ligament grafts are medical procedures where a damaged ligament, often in the knee, is repaired using tissue from another part of your body or a donor. The graft acts as a new, sturdy connector, helping to restore stability and function. Common sources include tendons from your own knee (like the patellar tendon) or from a donor (allograft). The surgeon carefully attaches the graft to replace the damaged ligament, allowing it to heal and gradually become strong enough to support normal movement. This procedure is commonly performed to restore stability after ligament injuries such as ACL tears.
