Ligament Grafting
Ligament grafting is a surgical procedure used to repair or replace a damaged ligament, commonly in the knee (such as the ACL). It involves taking a healthy tissue graft—either from the patient's own body or a donor—and threading it through drilled tunnels in the bone to recreate the natural ligament. Over time, the graft integrates and strengthens, restoring stability and function to the joint. This process helps patients regain mobility and reduce the risk of further injury by providing a strong, durable connection where the damaged ligament once was.
