Lifting Body

A lifting body is a type of aircraft design where the main shape of the fuselage — the central body of the aircraft — is shaped to generate lift like a wing, without the need for separate wings. This means the entire body helps to keep the plane in the air by creating aerodynamic lift through its shape and airflow. Lifting bodies are often used in experimental aircraft, space capsules, or designs aiming for efficient, maneuverable flight. They are shaped to maximize lift while minimizing drag, helping the aircraft stay aloft more effectively.
