Libertarian Free Will

Libertarian Free Will is the belief that individuals have the genuine ability to make choices independent of external constraints or predetermination. This perspective argues that, even if a higher power (like God) has foreknowledge of our decisions, it does not cause or dictate those choices. Instead, humans possess the freedom to act differently in similar situations, meaning that our choices are not predetermined. This view seeks to reconcile the idea of divine foreknowledge with moral responsibility, suggesting that knowing an action will occur does not mean it must occur in the way that it does.
