Liberation of Jersey

The Liberation of Jersey refers to the event during World War II when Allied forces freed the island of Jersey from German occupation. Jersey, a British Channel Island, was occupied by German troops from 1940 to 1945. In late 1944 and early 1945, Allied troops launched military operations to retake the island. The liberation marked the end of four years of control by Nazi Germany, restoring freedom and returning the island to its local residents. It was a significant victory for the Allies and a pivotal moment for Jersey and its people.
