LHCb Upgrade

The LHCb Upgrade is an improvement project for the LHCb experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. Its goal is to enhance the detector’s ability to study tiny particles called quarks and their behavior, especially in rare processes. This upgrade increases the data collection rate and precision, allowing scientists to better understand fundamental physics questions like why the universe has more matter than antimatter. By modernizing electronics and increasing the collision rate, the LHCb Upgrade helps researchers gather more detailed information more efficiently, advancing our knowledge of the universe at its smallest scales.
