LGBTQ+ individuals

LGBTQ+ individuals are people who identify as, or are attracted to, people of their own gender or experience gender differently from the typical societal expectations. The LGBTQ+ acronym includes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, and other diverse identities. These identities reflect variations in sexual orientation and gender identity. Recognizing and respecting LGBTQ+ individuals promotes equality and understanding, acknowledging that human experiences of gender and attraction are diverse and valid.
