Lewy Body Dementia Association
The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and research about Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), a progressive brain disorder characterized by cognitive decline, visual hallucinations, movement problems, and fluctuations in alertness. LBD is caused by abnormal protein deposits called Lewy bodies in brain cells. The LBDA aims to increase awareness, improve diagnosis, and assist patients and caregivers through resources and community connections, ultimately improving quality of life for those affected by this complex condition.
