Lewin's Equation
Lewin’s Equation, expressed as B = f(P, E), suggests that behavior (B) results from the interaction between a person’s characteristics (P) and their environment (E). In simple terms, our actions are shaped by who we are—our personality, attitudes, and skills—and the situation around us, including physical, social, and cultural factors. Changes in behavior can occur either by adjusting personal aspects or modifying the environment. This model highlights that to influence behavior effectively, one must consider both individual traits and contextual factors rather than focusing on just one.
