Level of Service (LOS)

Level of Service (LOS) is a way to measure how well a transportation facility, like a road or intersection, performs during peak usage times. It assesses factors such as travel speed, congestion, and wait times to indicate whether the area is operating smoothly or experiencing delays. LOS is usually classified from A (free-flowing and efficient) to F (highly congested and slow-moving).
