Level 1 Inputs are the most straightforward and reliable data used to determine the fair value of an asset or liability. They consist of quoted prices actively traded in markets that are identical to the asset or liability in question, such as stock prices on a stock exchange. Because these prices are readily available and are based on actual transactions, they provide the most accurate and objective measure of value, requiring minimal judgment or estimation.
