Les Nabis
Les Nabis were a group of late 19th-century French artists, including Maurice Denis and Paul Sérusier, who sought to renew art through symbolism and decorative qualities. Active mainly between 1890 and 1910, they emphasized emotional expression, bold colors, and flat, decorative compositions inspired by Post-Impressionism and Japanese prints. Their work aimed to integrate art into everyday life, often blending painting, design, and stained glass. Les Nabis played a key role in transitioning from traditional realism to modern art, emphasizing spirituality, intuition, and the pursuit of a unified artistic vision.
