Les Immortels
Les Immortels, or the "Immortals," was an elite unit of 300 highly skilled soldiers in ancient Persia, specifically within the Achaemenid Empire around 500 BCE. They served as the emperor’s personal guard and a core part of the army, known for their discipline, bravery, and close-knit unit structure. Whenever a member was killed or wounded, they were instantly replaced to maintain their strength. The name "Immortals" reflects this resilience and the reputation that they could never truly be diminished. They played a key role in Persia’s military campaigns and symbolize the might and organization of the ancient Persian army.
