Leonel Rugama

Leonel Rugama was a Nicaraguan revolutionary and guerrilla fighter, born in 1958. He was active in the Sandinista movement, which sought to overthrow Nicaragua's then-dictatorship and promote social reforms. Rugama was known for his dedication to the cause and his role in guerrilla activities during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Sadly, he was killed in combat in 1978, becoming a symbol of revolutionary resistance. His efforts contributed to the eventual overthrow of the dictatorship and the establishment of the Sandinista government.
