Leonardo's Horse
Leonardo's Horse was a large-scale sculpture project conceived by Leonardo da Vinci in the late 15th century, intended to honor Milanese Duke Ludovico Sforza. The plan was to create an immense bronze statue of a horse, symbolizing strength and valor. Although Leonardo designed detailed plans and models, the sculpture was never completed due to political upheavals and technical challenges. Centuries later, in 1999, a team reconstructed a full-scale bronze replica based on Leonardo’s original sketches, allowing viewers to appreciate his innovative approach to anatomy and sculpture at a monumental scale.
