Lens and Cataract Surgery

Lens and cataract surgery are procedures to improve vision. As we age, the natural lens in the eye can become cloudy, forming a cataract, which causes blurry vision. During surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This lens helps focus light properly onto the retina, restoring clear vision. The procedure is typically quick, safe, and performed under local anesthesia. Post-surgery, most patients experience significant improvement in vision, often reducing or eliminating the need for glasses.
