Lend-Lease

Lend-Lease was a program initiated by the United States during World War II to provide military aid to Allied nations, primarily Britain, the Soviet Union, China, and other allies. Instead of selling weapons and supplies, the U.S. lent or leased these materials, with the understanding they would be returned or replaced after the war. This allowed the Allies to obtain essential resources without immediate payment, helping them fight against Axis powers while keeping the U.S. officially neutral at first. The program significantly boosted the Allied war effort and marked a shift towards greater U.S. involvement in global conflicts.
