Legislative process in Armenia
In Armenia, the legislative process begins with the Parliament, called the National Assembly, where proposed laws (bills) are drafted, discussed, and edited. A bill can be introduced by members of parliament or the government. It then goes through several readings and committee reviews to examine its details. After debates and possible amendments, the Assembly votes on the bill. If approved, it is sent to the President for signing into law. The President may also veto it, prompting possible further review. This process ensures laws are carefully considered before becoming official.
