Legislative Courts
Legislative courts are specialized courts created by Congress to handle specific types of cases, often related to administrative or regulatory issues, that fall outside the regular judicial system. Unlike traditional courts with judges appointed for life, judges in legislative courts may serve fixed terms or be appointed differently. Examples include the U.S. Tax Court and the Court of Federal Claims. These courts focus on issues like tax disputes or claims against the government, providing expertise and streamlined procedures in their specialized areas. Their purpose is to efficiently resolve particular legal matters that require specialized knowledge.
