left ventricular outflow tract

The left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) is the pathway through which blood exits the left ventricle of the heart to flow into the aorta, the main artery carrying blood to the rest of the body. It includes the area just below the aortic valve, which opens to let blood out. The health and unobstructed function of the LVOT are essential for efficient blood flow. Any narrowing or obstruction in this area can affect how well the heart pumps blood and may cause symptoms like dizziness or fatigue.
